Step 2: Enquiry Reviewed
A dedicated advisor will first provide an initial review of your case to ensure it meets the criteria for funding and to discuss the specific requirements.
Step 3:Documentation Request
If your case meets the criteria for funding your legal team will be required to complete an application form and provide copies of supporting documentation relating to the case.
Step 4: Evaluation Process
Once all documentation has been received your application is sent to our Litigation Funding Companies to review the requirements in detail. This process can take a number of weeks or months to complete depending on the type of claim, it’s complexity, the requirements and the co-operation of all parties concerned.
Step 5a: Funding Approved
If your claim if approved for funding the sign up process begins.
Step 5b: Funding Rejected
Your claim has been assessed but funding has been rejected. At this point your enquiry will be closed.
Step 6: Sign Up Process
The funders will send contracts with terms and conditions to you and your solicitors in order to complete the funding process.
Step 7: Cooling Off Period
Once forms are signed, completed and returned the cooling off period begins. This is a legal requirement which must be abided by.
Step 8: Funding Transferred
Once the cooling off period has passed the funding will be transferred electronically by the funding company.
Step 9a: Claim Won
Your case is won and the funding is repaid once your solicitor receives your compensation.
Step 9b: Claim Lost
If your claim is unsuccessful the funding is written off and your case is closed.
